High quality work life exists in the selected successful corporate establishments which have been in operation for at least one to five years ,with a minimum of 101-500 employees and a monthly gross revenue of approximately RM111,000

This is the view expressed by the chosen married Japanese Managing Directors (members of the Japanese Chamber of Trade and Industry),who are within the 36-57 years old age bracket and who have at least attained a university degree.

Results imply that the favourable quality work life (QWL) may be one of the factors why more and more Japanese are motivated to do business in Malaysia. The sound perception of the existing quality of work life in the respective establishment of the expatriates suggests that there exists a conducive business environment in Malaysia.

A continuing assessment of QWL is proposed in order to maintain the “good QWL image”, and at the same time work effectively and fairly with the Japanese executives towards fulfilling Malaysia’s Vision 2020.
